    Within Eberly you'll discover four bars, two regularly open to the public and two located within private dining spaces. Our dining room offers contemporary American cuisine alongside a study, rooftop terrace, hidden speakeasy, and the historic Cedar Tavern bar of Greenwich Village in New York City.

    We are driven by creativity and place a strong emphasis on food and beverage knowledge, thoughtful hospitality, and attention to detail. We are an upscale dining restaurant, but we create an atmosphere that invites and welcomes everyone. We have a good time taking service seriously.

    As Eberly continues to experience significant volume across daily dining, private events, and programming, we are expanding our management team to support the operation and position ourselves for continued growth.

    We are looking for an experienced hospitality leader who thrives on the floor but also understands the larger operation behind it. This position will play an important role in daily restaurant operations, staff development, service standards, and the continued improvement of our systems and processes.

    The right candidate will be comfortable taking ownership of a busy service while also looking beyond the immediate shift to identify what the restaurant and team need to be successful.

    The Role

    Floor & Service Leadership

    Lead daily floor operations and maintain Eberly's standards for service, hospitality, cleanliness, and presentation

    Prepare the restaurant for service, including floor plans, pre-shift, lighting, music, staffing, and overall readiness

    Run pre-shift meetings and communicate relevant service, menu, event, and operational information

    Manage reservations and the books while making real-time decisions based on volume and business needs

    Direct and support FOH departments throughout service

    Make appropriate cuts and labor adjustments based on volume

    Maintain a strong presence with guests and confidently handle service recovery

    Oversee opening and closing responsibilities and ensure proper follow-through from the team

    Team Leadership & Development

    Coach, develop, and hold hourly staff accountable to company standards

    Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, employee feedback, and performance conversations

    Maintain and improve FOH training materials and resources

    Lead department meetings and ongoing staff education

    Identify opportunities to improve communication, accountability, and consistency across the team

    Support a positive, professional, and high-performing work environment

    Restaurant Operations

    Create and maintain weekly FOH schedules while balancing business needs, events, and labor targets

    Maintain and improve SOPs that support service, efficiency, and cleanliness

    Keep operational systems and restaurant information accurate and up to date

    Assist with repairs and maintenance needs and ensure assigned projects are completed

    Support inventory, ordering, and purchasing responsibilities as assigned

    Work closely with culinary, beverage, events, and management teams to keep departments aligned

    Take ownership of operational projects and follow them through to completion

    Financial Awareness

    Understand labor targets and make operational decisions accordingly

    Develop a working knowledge of restaurant budgets and operating statements

    Monitor comps and identify trends or opportunities for improvement

    Reference budgets when evaluating purchases and operational needs

    Understand how daily operational decisions impact restaurant profitability

    Events & Activations

    Understand current and upcoming BEOs and communicate relevant information to the team

    Lead event pre-shifts and assist with event execution

    Ensure appropriate staffing based on restaurant and event volume

    Assist with internal events and activations from an operational perspective

    Work closely with the culinary and events teams to ensure FOH and BOH alignment

    Who We're Looking For

    Minimum 3+ years of restaurant management experience, preferably within upscale or high-volume hospitality

    Strong floor leadership and a genuine enjoyment of being present during service

    Experience leading and developing FOH teams

    Working knowledge of labor management, scheduling, restaurant financials, and cost controls

    Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities

    Comfortable holding both hourly employees and fellow leaders accountable

    Strong food, wine, spirits, and hospitality knowledge

    Experience with restaurant reservation, POS, scheduling, and operational platforms

    Ability to work collaboratively across culinary, beverage, events, and operations

    Familiarity with the Austin food and beverage landscape and hospitality community preferred

    Comfortable adopting technology, including tools and systems to improve productivity, organization, analysis, and operational efficiency

    Most importantly, we're looking for someone who sees the bigger picture. This role requires a leader who can run a strong floor, recognize what needs attention beyond the immediate service, and take ownership of making the operation better.
