Position Overview
The Restaurant Manager is responsible for the seamless day-to-day operation and profitability of the Goodstone Restaurant, overseeing both front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) teams. This hands-on leadership role ensures the highest standards in guest experience, team performance, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate brings a deep passion for hospitality, strong leadership and operational skills, and experience managing all aspects of a fine dining environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all daily restaurant operations, including restaurant(s), bar, pool service, and banquets, ensuring excellence in service, food quality, and cleanliness.
Ensure seamless communication and coordination between FOH and BOH teams to deliver a consistent, elevated guest experience.
Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and professional growth. Oversee quality control of food preparation, presentation, and timing in partnership with the Executive Chef.
Conduct regular team meetings and one-on-ones to support team engagement and development.
Collaborate with culinary and service teams to design menu offerings and pricing strategies that align with brand standards and guest preferences.
Develop and implement SOPs to improve operational efficiency and service consistency.
Monitor guest satisfaction and address issues promptly with a focus on resolution and retention.
Work with marketing to supplement feedback systems to evaluate and improve service delivery continuously.
Respond promptly to any and all customer reviews.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
Oversee F&B budgets, P&L statements, labor cost management, and inventory controls.
Analyze financial performance and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Monitor and address voids, comps, spoilage, and service recovery expenses
Collaborate with the Events and Sales teams for special dining experiences, weddings, and private functions.
Evaluate employee performance and provide ongoing coaching and recognition.
Qualifications
Proven experience (5+ years) in food and beverage leadership, preferably in a boutique or luxury hospitality environment.
Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Strong knowledge of FOH and BOH operations, including fine dining standards, culinary practices, and service protocols.
Hands-on approach with a commitment to service excellence and team development.
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, control costs, and drive profitability.
ServSafe Certification or equivalent preferred.
Strong communication and leadership skills with a collaborative mindset.
Strong wine knowledge preferred
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
POS and reservation system experience preferred (e.g., Silverware, BinWise, OpenTable).
Supervisory Responsibilities The Restaurant Manager supervises all front- and back-of-house restaurant personnel, including servers, hosts, kitchen staff, and support team. This role is responsible for operational and performance management of all restaurant team members and fostering a positive and service-driven culture.
