About the Role:

Volcanos Bar and Bistro in Gary, IN is looking for an energetic and motivated Restaurant Runner to join our team! This is a fast-paced, guest-facing role where you'll play a key part in delivering an outstanding dining experience. Responsibilities:

Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the correct tables accurately and efficiently

Assist servers by ensuring guests have everything they need throughout their dining experience

Communicate clearly with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to ensure smooth service flow

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining room, including resetting tables

Monitor food quality and presentation before running dishes to guests

Respond promptly to guest needs and relay requests to the appropriate team members

Support bussing duties during high-volume service periods

Requirements:

Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred but not required

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods

Positive attitude and a guest-first mindset

Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Must be reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
