    Matthew’s Restaurant is seeking an experienced Service Manager to ensure that guests experience a unique and unforgettable dining experience.

    Major Areas of Responsibility:

    Ensures excellent guest service that exceeds expectations

    Ensures the restaurant is properly staffed to meet guest needs

    Enforces sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of all FOH areas

    Employee Management:

    Inspires team members to ensure that excellent guest service is consistently delivered

    Develops team members through training, motivation, and mentorship

    Appraises performance; rewards, coaches and disciplines employees as needed

    Reads and understands Employee Handbook, and all other company policies

    Educates team members on safe work behaviors and maintains an environment that is safe for both guests and team members

    Ensures staff is Food Handler certified within 60 days of hire

    Management:

    Supports execution of innovative and creative ideas that drive incremental sales and growth

    Operates the business in accordance with company policies and applicable laws

    Operations:

    Upholds standards, product quality and cleanliness of FOH

    Ensures all FOH duties are completed accurately and on time

    Delegation of tasks for all FOH staff

    Requirements:

    Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

    Minimum of 2 years of experience as manager in a fine dining establishment

    Demonstrates leadership skills including coaching, directing, and motivating a team

    Food Manager Certification

    Wine Knowledge equivalent to Level 1 Sommelier Certification
