    This role will be located at one of Clive Collective's Concepts in North Scottsdale. Modern Italian Steakhouse |or| Asian-American Fusion Restaurant & Sushi.

    Position Overview

    The CLIVE Supervisor is a key hourly leadership role responsible for supporting the management team in delivering exceptional hospitality, smooth daily operations, and consistent adherence to Clive Collective standards. This position acts as an extension of management during service—coaching team members, driving service excellence, and maintaining a polished and professional atmosphere.

    Supervisors lead by example, embodying the CLIVE values (Caring, Likable, Inviting, Value, Entertain) while ensuring the guest experience remains at the highest level.

    Leadership & Team Support

    Assist the management team in overseeing daily operations across all shifts (AM, Mid, PM).

    Provide on-the-floor leadership by guiding staff, reinforcing service steps, and ensuring smooth communication.

    Serve as a resource for all FOH positions, providing coaching and real-time training during service.

    Uphold and model company culture, professionalism, and hospitality standards.

    Help lead pre-shift meetings when assigned.

    Guest Experience

    Ensure every guest receives warm, intentional hospitality in line with CLIVE standards.

    Resolve minor guest concerns independently; escalate larger issues to management as needed.

    Support strategic seating, pacing, and service flow to maximize guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.

    Monitor dining room, bar, and patio for consistency, cleanliness, and opportunities to elevate the experience.

    Operational Execution

    Ensure completion and accuracy of all opening, mid-day, and closing checklists.

    Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of all FOH spaces (host stand, server stations, bar, patio, etc.).

    Support sidework, restocking, and floor maintenance tasks when necessary.

    Assist with minor administrative duties such as closing reports, cash handling, and shift summaries (as assigned).

    Support managers with inventory counts, product prepping, and labeling as required.

    Team & Training

    Support onboarding by demonstrating proper procedures and assisting in training new hires.

    Reinforce standards around appearance, professionalism, safety, and conduct.

    Help maintain daily accountability: breaks, clock-in/out accuracy, shift readiness, etc.

    Safety, Compliance & Standards

    Reinforce adherence to health and sanitation guidelines.

    Ensure team members follow company policies and procedures.

    Assist in maintaining safety standards, including walkways, exits, equipment, and storage areas.

    Qualifications

    1–2 years of leadership experience in a high-volume or upscale restaurant preferred.

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a natural ability to lead a team.

    Professional, organized, and solutions-focused mindset.

    Ability to remain calm and effective during peak hours.

    Proficiency with Toast, 7Shifts, and/or Restaurant365 is a plus (training provided).

    Flexible availability: weekdays, weekends, holidays, and varying shift times.

    Valid Food Handler & Alcohol Server certifications (or ability to obtain pre-start).

    Tip Eligibility

    This is an hourly position. Supervisors may be eligible for tips based on shift assignments, service-style needs, and management approval.
