    RESTAURANT SUPPLY CHAIN SOLUTIONS, LLC, A YUM! BRANDS CO-OP, IS CURRENTLY SEEKING A DEMAND PLANNER/PROGRAM MANAGER II TO JOIN THE TACO BELL CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT TEAM IN IRVINE, CA.

     

    POSITION OVERVIEW:

    This position is part of the Program Management team that supports the supply chain for Taco Bell’s 7300+ restaurants in the US with annual sales in excess of $11B

     

    To be successful in this role, a Demand Planner/Program Manager needs to be a blend of a relationship-oriented project manager and a data-driven demand planner.  This person will engage with a cross functional team to bring new products to market and manage the core menu forecast and limited time offer forecasts.  Annual oversight is estimated at:

    • 15 national food and packaging promotions
    • $100-$200MM in inventory authorizations
    • 10-15 new product tests
    • Forecasting 50 core menu items

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    Demand Planning (~70%)

    • Leverage technology systems (primarily Blue Yonder and Power BI) to drive uninterrupted supply:
      • Input the demand plan and reconcile to the store level
      • Monitor menu sales, rapidly identify forecast misses, adjust plan, and inform stakeholders and leadership
    • Participate in continuous improvement and process optimization efforts
    • Special projects, and other duties as assigned by management

     

    Project Management (~30%)

    • Collaborate with brand partners to identify and document the supply chain demands of high profile, innovative, key marketing initiatives, and product transitions
    • Manage supply chain timelines and deliverables of both internal and external stakeholder to ensure flawless execution of marketing initiatives
    • Collaborate with supply planners to develop supply strategies that enable maximum flexibility with minimize financial risk. This includes planning contingencies, capacity assurance, and ingredient procurement timelines
    • Accountable to communicate and provide ongoing updates to internal supply planners, procurement partners, brand partners, and leadership in a timely fashion.
    • Present supply updates to Concept and RSCS Executive Teams
    • Ensure key learnings and best practices are captured to support future strategic planning and continuous improvement
    • Create Authorizations for Inventory Procurement

     

    Required Skills

    • Minimum of 3 to 5 years business experience in Demand Planning, Project Management, Program Management, Supply Chain, Operations and/or Procurement.
    • Prefer experience with food/packaging demand planning, in the restaurant/foodservice, distribution or manufacturing environment. Quick service restaurant experience preferred.
    • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required. Prefer a Master’s in Supply Chain Management.
    • Prefer APICS CPIM certification, Six Sigma Green Belt, ISM CPSM certification.
    • Prefer experience using Blue Yonder Demand and Fulfillment Planning.
    • Prefer experience in Oracle SCM, SAP SCSM, or other enterprise supply planning software systems.
    • Ability to work at an elevated pace with efficiency and precision and a bias toward action.
    • Self-starter with ability to deliver results without daily supervision.
    • Must have strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills and be able to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Advanced communication skills, both written and verbal, with an emphasis on interpersonal and consensus building capabilities.
    • Must be able to deliver concise presentation materials to senior level teams with poise.
    • Must be comfortable assertively influencing outcomes when needed. Flexibility and adaptability to change is crucial.
    • Experience in data analytics, forecasting, and risk analysis emphasized.
    • Strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Products – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook – Advance excel proficiency required.
