What does a Reconstruction Estimator (RE) with Paul Davis do?
Conduct thorough on-site inspections and damage assessments of residential and commercial properties
Prepare accurate, detailed cost estimates for full reconstruction or major repair projects
Utilize industry-standard estimating software to generate line-item estimates and reports, i.e XM8, Symbility
Collaborate with insurance adjusters, property owners, contractors, architects, and engineers to review scopes of work and resolve discrepancies
Track and document all communications, site conditions, and decisions throughout the estimating and negotiation process
Assist the reconstruction/project management team with handover of estimates and ongoing cost tracking
A reconstruction estimator specializes in assessing property damage from events like fires, floods, storms, water leaks, mold, or other disasters and preparing detailed cost estimates for repairing or fully rebuilding the affected structures. Team Compensation and Benefits:
One on One mentorship

Compensation range from $65,000-$85,000 based on experience plus incentives and bonus structure
Team Qualifications (Requirements):
Minimum: High School diploma or GED equivalent
Preferred: Associates or Bachelors degree in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, etc.
2-5 years of hands-on experience in insurance restoration estimating, property damage assessment, or construction estimating
Experience with fire, water, storm, mold, or other disaster-related reconstruction projects is strongly preferred.
Proficient in XM8 and Symbility estimating software
Knowledge of building codes, permitting process, and restoration techniques for various damage types
Willingness to work as a team and practice continuous improvement
Willingness to travel locally and work inside residential and commercial properties
Role on the Team (Job Functions):
Meet operational objectives of: Sales, Gross Margin, Brand Experience
Clearly communicate expectations with project manager and adjuster, onsite as needed
Communicate and document any change orders and insurance supplements
Ensure project completes within profit range and service level agreements are hit
Establish relationships with business owners, insurance professionals, and TPA's
Seek partnerships to improve performance of the team

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements: The physical environment requires the employee to work all types of both indoor and outdoor conditions.
