JCS Restoration is a full-service restoration company specializing in contents cleaning, inventory, and storage. We take pride in helping homeowners restore and protect their belongings after property damage. We’re looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Contents Technician to join our team.
Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Packing / Moving Technician to join our dynamic restoration team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently packing and moving belongings during restoration projects, ensuring safety and care for all items. You will play a crucial part in supporting our emergency response efforts and maintaining high standards of safety, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction.
Duties
Safely pack, wrap, and protect client belongings using appropriate materials and techniques.
Assist with the moving and staging of furniture and equipment during restoration projects.
Operate company vehicles responsibly to transport items between sites or storage areas.
Maintain a clean work environment by performing general cleaning tasks and debris removal.
Follow safety protocols including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as respiratory protection and other safety gear.
Use hand tools, power tools, and cleaning equipment effectively to facilitate packing and moving activities.
Conduct yourself with professionalism in all customer and team interactions
Qualifications
Required valid drivers license
Prior experience in construction, cleaning, or restoration industries is highly preferred.
Knowledge of safety procedures including PPE use, respiratory protection, and adherence to safety protocols.
Ability to operate company vehicles safely and responsibly.
Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude towards clients and team members.
Physical ability to lift heavy items of 50+ lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform manual labor efficiently.
Familiarity with Xactimate software or carpet cleaning equipment is a plus but not required.
