    POSITION SUMMARY:

    A Reconstruction Technician will function under direct supervision of the Project Manager and Director of Construction. The Recon Tech will perform repair projects utilizing a combination of in house and subcontracted resources. They will also assist the Project Manager with field supervision of active construction projects. The Recon Tech will be able to perform a variety of trades including trim and finish carpentry, drywall, painting, cabinet install, basic plumbing, basic electric, tile, and basic flooring. This position will contribute to project profitability and will be expected to consistently meet and/or exceed project budgets.

    MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Perform repair projects as outlined in Work Orders producing quality work in accordance with established budgets
    • Generate mutually agreed upon punch lists for reconstruction projects, completing the items as necessary to close out projects.
    • Assist the Project Manager with project start phase by collecting HIC agreements, customer selection sheets, and other items necessary to begin reconstruction projects.
    • File for and obtain construction permits as needed
    • Supervise active construction projects by completing walk throughs, physical inspections, and verifying work was completed per subcontractor agreement
    • Conduct progress review meetings with customers to verify satisfaction and set future project expectations
    • Using acquired knowledge, perform Fire and Water Damage Restoration through the physical completion of projects and supervision of ongoing projects
    • Assist with emergency mitigation projects in times of increased volume.
    • Participate on emergency on call schedule during times of increased volume.
    • Understand and utilize all project paperwork in accordance with RestoreCore policies
    • Utilize DASH software to update project details, notes, create and close work orders, and pull reports.

    • DASH Documentation – Upload photos, Log Notes, Documents, work orders, etc.
    • Complete Fit Test for PPE – Knowledge and use
    • Possess effective communication skills – homeowners, managers, site staff
    • Possess effective written communication skills
    • Read and comprehend simple English, instructions and correspondence
    • Must be able to exercise good judgment and to understand and carry out written and/or oral instructions, along with sound problem solving ability.
