    Job Description

    Resultant is looking for a highly motivated, detailed oriented, FP&A Analyst with excellent business acumen to join our growing FP&A team. In this role, you’ll support the creation and delivery of monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages and our annual operating plan, help to build budget and forecasts, monitor actual performance and investigate/communicate deviances vs. plan utilizing self-developed BI reporting and dashboards. You’ll also be responsible for completing ad hoc analysis and supporting the development of strategic business cases in partnership with stakeholders across the company, and for monitoring the health of critical business metrics, functions, and processes. This role is perfect for you if you possess a strong mix of strategic thinking, analytical ability, intellectual curiosity, and you’re seeking a role in finance that provides broad operational and strategic exposure to a rapidly scaling, growth stage organization.

    Consider your day-to-day responsibilities in this role:

    • Create forward-looking financial forecasts and budgets for the business, including the annual operating plan as well as nearer and longer-term forecasts (monthly, quarterly, and multi-year); identify and analyze drivers of variance between our financial projections and actual performance, and work with business stakeholders on operational and strategic responses to observed business trends
    • Build dashboards, reports, and models from scratch to accommodate business needs and provide management with insightful commentary on business performance and deliver actionable recommendations
    • Understand cost drivers to aid Delivery leaders in improving margin and profitability for a segment or the business overall
    • Participate actively in new FP&A initiatives, including ad-hoc analyses and process improvement related to reporting, forecasting, and KPI tracking
    • Support the delivery of regular communications on financial performance and trends to functional and Executive Leadership
    • Support the month-end close process, in close collaboration with the Accounting and Business teams, by ensuring the accuracy of P&Ls and monthly business results and investigating discrepant or anomalous data
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Some of the qualifications and skills we are expecting the person filling this role to have include:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Analysis required (advanced degree preferred)
    • 1-3 years experience in management consulting, investment banking, PE/VC, or in analytics, financial planning or strategy role at a technology or rapidly scaling company (professional services preferred)
    • Advanced Excel and data modeling skills; experience in SQL, Tableau, or Anaplan preferred
    • Motivated, proactive and curious disposition, with a natural tendency toward investigating information that seems interesting or anomalous
    • Strong written and oral communication skills, ability to establish relationships with stakeholders
    • Close attention to detail, coupled with good judgement to know when to challenge practices or assumptions
    • Team player who thrives in a collaborative environment
    • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
    • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment
