Experienced Title Processor, In-Office Full-time Position
Our company is rapidly growing and we are seeking a Title Processor to help our clients properly file their real estate title applications. In this role, you will work with both the buyer and the Realtor to ensure that their filing is in compliance with all local regulations. You will help them compile all of the necessary legal documents and information so that they can obtain the legal deed to the property. Our ideal applicant has a notary public certificate and 2-3 years of experience working with real estate procedures. You should also be proficient with common office software.
Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinate with the buyer and Realtor to ensure proper submission of necessary documents and information
Answer questions clients may have about the process
Research and verify the accuracy of documentation such as property title records, property ownership, public records, deeds, leases, surveys, contracts, and agreements needed to produce a clear title
Enter and submit title and loan documents into software programs to track applicant’s progress
Liaise with manager to be sure all items are complete, settlement processor to ensure all settlement figures are correct, and with the ensure the transaction is recorded and any outstanding issues are resolved
Work with title examiner and underwriter to prepare title insurance policy and binders and title commitments, and with loan closer to prepare HUD-1 real estate settlement statements
Ensure all closing instructions are followed as per the closing package, and coordinate with loan officer, mortgage loan processor, and underwriter to be sure all underwriting commitments have been satisfied
Aid title officers with administrative assistant essential duties, including clerical and data entry support
Requirements and Qualifications
High school diploma or GED certificate
Notary public certificate (preferred)
Strong experience with real estate procedures
Customer service abilities
Focus on detail
Fact-checking skills
