Job Summary

Dishfunctional vintage retail store is seeking a friendly and motivated Retail Sales Associate and Cashier to join our team! As a Cashier, you will ring up sales, take payments, and wrap merchandise. As a Sales Associate you will provide excellent customer service by assisting customers and ensuring all transactions run smoothly. We’re looking for someone with previous retail customer service experience who is reliable, punctual, and committed.

Responsibilities

Greet each customer with a smile and actively assist while they are shopping

Work the register to ring up sales and complete transactions

Collect payments by cash, credit card, check or gift cards

Issue receipts to customers

Wrap merchandise for safe delivery home

Perform opening duties for open shift

Perform closing duties for close shift- including register reconciliation

Participate in promotion events and initiatives to drive sales

Maintain knowledge of merchanise inventory and displays to assist customers with their selections and direct them

Keep the register area straightened and stocked

General and light store housekeeping

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent

Ability to read, count, write, and communicate clearly and effectively

Understanding of sales techniques and best practices in customer service

Willingness to work well independently and in a team environment

Ability to quickly and accurately work a cash register

Willingness to work a flexible schedule

Must be dependable

Prior retail experience a must
