Job Summary:
The Retail Data Control Clerk is responsible for maintaining data in the computer system.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Duties/Responsibilities:
Perform scheduled cycle counts of inventory in designated areas of the store, yard, and warehouse.
Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies, including missing, misplaced, or damaged items.
Maintain accurate records of counted items and update inventory systems accordingly.
Collaborate with purchasing and receiving departments to validate inventory adjustments.
Ensure that inventory locations are properly labeled and organized.
Notify appropriate personnel of repeated inventory variances and assist with root cause analysis.
Assist with preparation for physical inventory and participate in store-wide counts as needed.
Operate handheld scanners and inventory software to record count data.
Communicate with department managers and floor sales staff regarding stock corrections or anomalies.
Report inventory issues that impact customer satisfaction or operational efficiency.
Comply with company policies, safety procedures, and uniform standards.
Participate in ongoing training related to inventory systems and procedures.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
