Position Overview
We are seeking a Sales Associate and/or Assistant Manager to join our team. This role focuses on delivering an excellent customer experience while helping operate a busy retail store serving Jeep owners and Smoky Mountain visitors.
The right candidate is friendly, reliable, organized, and comfortable interacting with customers throughout the day.
Responsibilities
Customer Experience
Greet customers and create a welcoming store environment
Assist customers with apparel, gifts, and Jeep-themed merchandise
Answer questions about products and the Townsend / Smoky Mountains area
Provide excellent customer service to tourists and Jeep enthusiasts
Sales & Retail Operations
Operate POS system and handle transactions
Maintain clean, organized displays
Restock merchandise and manage inventory
Help maintain attractive retail displays
Assistant Manager Responsibilities (if applicable)
Assist with opening and closing procedures
Help manage inventory and merchandising
Assist in training new staff members
Support store operations and leadership when the manager is not present
Qualifications
Required
Friendly, outgoing personality
Reliable and punctual
Ability to work weekends and holidays during peak tourist season
Ability to stand and move around during shifts
Preferred
Retail or sales experience
Interest in Jeeps, off-roading, or outdoor lifestyle
Experience with POS systems
Leadership or management experience (for Assistant Manager role)
Work Environment
