Job Description:
The Retail Product Quality & Regulatory Compliance position will round out the compliance team and ensure that all goods that are produced meet quality standards, retailer requirements, and all applicable regulatory and safety laws.
Job Overview:
This role will work on quality control processes from starting with product development through production and distribution, ensuring compliance with both U.S. and global regulatory standards. Additionally, this role serves as a liaison between internal teams, third-party testing labs, and major retail partners such as Walmart, Target, Amazon, Hobby Lobby, and Meijer.
Key compliance needs:
- Oversight of product quality control processes
- Supplier quality management and documentation
- Coordination of product testing and certification
- Identification and mitigation of regulatory and consumer safety risks
- Development and formalization of scalable quality and compliance processes
Qualifications:
- Associates degree or Bachelor’s degree in Regulatory Affairs, Engineering, Quality Assurance, or related field.
- Experience in quality control, regulatory compliance, or product safety.
- Experience working with retailer compliance portals and documentation systems (e.g., UL, QIMA, and retailer-specific portals).
- Understanding of U.S. regulatory requirements.
- Experience with CPSIA, FHSA, and California Proposition 65 is a plus!
- Strong analytical, documentation and organizational skills with meticulous attention.
- Strong communication skills for cross-functional and external collaboration.
- Proficient in documentation management, testing coordination, and technical data review.
- Experience using compliance management systems or PLM tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Ability to analyze testing data and identify potential compliance risks.
