Position Summary – Floater Role

This is a part-time floater position built for an experienced sales professional who values consistency, professionalism, and flexibility.

You will primarily:

Cover two scheduled days per week at our St. Petersburg location

Optionally pick up a third shift at our Palmetto store if driving is not an issue

This role is ideal for someone who:

Wants predictable income

Enjoys working independently

Brings confidence and credibility to the sales floor without needing full-time hours

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and professionally guide customers through a consultative sales process • Confidently present mattress features, comfort options, and value comparisons • Close high-ticket sales with integrity and product knowledge • Maintain showroom standards, cleanliness, and visual presentation • Manage quotes, payments, and customer follow-ups as needed • Represent Mattress Home with professionalism and maturity during solo shifts

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of commission-based mattress, furniture, or high-ticket retail sales • Proven experience closing $2,000+ average tickets • Ability to confidently run the sales floor independently • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Weekend availability required • Ability to lift up to 125 lbs (with assistance) • Bilingual English/Spanish is a strong plus
