Retail Sales Associate in Maternity/Children’s Resale (Part-time or Full-time) As a Kangaroo Kids Sales Associate, you will be responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service standards, generating sales, merchandising, and safeguarding company assets, all while engaging with other parents in this children’s and maternity resale store. Details: • Part-time: 25 hours per week • Full-time: 40 hours per week • Hours : Must be available to work 4-8 hour shifts (Mon - Sat, 9:30a - 6:30p and Sun 11:30a - 4:30p) • Pay : $15-18/hour, depending on experience • Employee Discount: Yes! Details provided to qualified candidates • $200 Hiring bonus Responsibilities: • Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer while maintaining solid product knowledge • Serve as a consultant by identifying the customer's various needs and then making recommendations based on Kangaroo Kids' various solution options; aid customers in locating merchandise throughout the store • Maintain an awareness of all promotions and advertisements and drive sales with those in mind; assist in the implementation of company marketing plans • Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance, and housekeeping; monitor floor stock to then process and replenish as required • Communicate customer requests to management • Participate in year-end inventory • Assist in ringing up sales at registers and/or bagging merchandise • Have detailed knowledge of buying resale inventory and use it to implement smart buying practices • Perform store opening and closing shift duties as well as conduct mid-day shift tasks • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes • Other tasks and duties, as assigned Qualifications: • Strong sense of customer service with background/experience in maternity/children’s clothing, retail sales preferred • Must project positive energy while engaging with staff/customers and have stellar communication, organizational, and multi-tasking skills • Basic knowledge of simple accounting; strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements • Basic computer skills • Ability to self-motivate • Must be able to work on your feet and lift 40 lbs • Must have child care & reliable transportation Compensation: $15 - $18 hourly
