Job Description
A Retail Stocker is responsible for stocking and displaying grocery products while providing outstanding guest service. Reports to the Market Manager and Assistant Market Managers.
- Stocks, rotates, merchandises and faces product according to department procedures
- Receives product deliveries, ensures order and invoice accuracy and notes discrepancies
- Checks to ensure all grocery items are merchandised attractively as per quality standards
- Ensures all items are rotated by First In First Out (FIFO) standards
- Maintains and organizes back-stock and warehouse storage areas according to department standards
- Adheres to all guidelines about product recommendations and information
- Communicates grocery needs, adjustments, and problems to grocery manager promptly and efficiently
- Maintains a safe and cleanly work environment in accordance with department, state and federal regulations
- Performs light cleaning duties such as sweeping, dusting, and packaging disposal as necessary
- Works with colleagues as a team; maintains a positive attitude and a willingness to help others
- Performs other duties as required or assigned
