RETRO BIOSCIENCES is a fast-growing biopharma startup using high-throughput, high-dimensional approaches to develop therapies for diseases driven by the biology of aging. We are looking to expand our exceptional team at our Redwood City location.
We are looking to add a TALENT SOURCER to our Operations team. We expect you to bring a passion for recruiting with a focus on creativity and solutions. We don’t expect you to have previous recruiting experience. You will work closely with hiring managers to define the scope of positions, source candidates through outreach and job postings, and conduct initial interviews. It’s an opportunity for you to play an integral role in building Retro’s team.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Bringing together a team of the world’s most capable scientists and a range of other technical positions to power research at Retro
Manage the full recruiting process from creating job requisitions in collaboration with hiring managers to onboarding hired candidates
Use our Applicant Tracking System to keep all of this organized.
Utilize a variety of online sources to identify and develop a database of potential candidates including LinkedIn, social media, academic papers and labs, and other platforms
Conduct in-depth phone screens, personal interviews, and reference checks to evaluate skill sets, work history, personality match, etc.
Develop and advise on tactics and programs to achieve team growth goals
Try new, creative ideas to identify, engage, and attract talent to Retro
Provide recruitment status updates to the CEO
Learn from candidates about how Retro appears, and how it feels to interview at
QUALIFICATIONS:
2+ years in sales preferred
BA/BS in Biology
Pharma/Biotech industry experience with exposure to R&D strongly preferred
Outstanding organization skills and attention to detail with consistent follow-through
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with an open communication style
Highly collaborative, team oriented, and self-motivated
Ability to convey to candidates the thrill of our vision and mission
