    Job Summary and Mission

    This job contributes to Retro Fitness's success by leading gym operations within an assigned region and managing a team of Franchise Business Consultants to create and maintain the Retro Fitness Experience for our gym members and our franchisee partners. Models and acts in accordance with Retro Fitness guiding principles.

    Summary of Key Responsibilities

    Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

    Leadership Setting goals for the work group, developing organizational capability, and modeling how we work together:

    Identifies and communicates key responsibilities and practices to the immediate team of direct reports promotes a successful attitude, confidence in leadership, and teamwork to achieve business results.

    Supports the implementation of Company programs, procedures, methods and practices to promote Retro Fitness key messages and achieve a competitive advantage.

    Planning and Execution Developing strategic and operational plans for the work group, managing execution, and measuring results:

    Directs and continuously improves gym operations within the region to meet company objectives for operational standards. Identifies, plans and executes areas for improvement to ensure consistent legendary service to gym members.

    Plans and executes strategies to increase revenue while controlling Retro Fitness Operational costs within the assigned region. Identifies trends and forecasts gym budgets.

    Plans and implements regional and zone initiatives to support Retro Fitness business objectives.

    Plans and manages business unit and department processes and practices to ensure that programs are aligned with company business goals and objectives.

    Prepares, communicates and educates client groups and team on changes in policies and practices within the organization.

    Business Requirements Providing functional expertise and executing functional responsibilities:

    Collaborates with corporate services and functional teams to support gym operations and to execute regional initiatives.

    Participates in cross-functional teams to enhance the service experience for Retro Fitness gym members and increase revenue & profitability, including identifying, planning, and executing opportunities for growth and expansion within region.

    Employee Development & Team Building Providing franchise business consultants and with coaching, feedback, and developmental opportunities and building effective teams

    Challenges and inspires employees to achieve business results.

    Conducts and ensures the completion of performance reviews.

    Ensures employees adhere to legal and operational compliance requirements.

    Oversees training and development of employees directly and indirectly managed and makes effective staffing decisions.

    Participates in succession planning activities to support regional growth.

    Provides coaching, direction and leadership support to team employee in order to achieve employee, business and member results.

    Utilizes various performance and talent development methods to meet the needs of the individual employees, and the objectives of the business unit/department(s).Â

    Summary of Experience

    Progressive director-level experience managing in multi-unit retail, gym/fitness or service organizations 5 years

    Consulting background and experience preferred

    Product development experience preferred

    Financial analysis and profit and loss responsibility required

    Marketing or market development experience required

    Project Management skills preferred

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing

    Planning and organizational project management skills

    Ability to apply sound business principles and practices to project management and change management processes

    Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
