Social Media Specialist

Position Summary: The Social Media Specialist would participate in the overall marketing strategy and execution of marketing programs. This would include monthly promotion planning, soliciting department marketing needs, direct mail campaigns and posting content to our social media accounts such as; Instagram and Facebook. This position would be expected to attend open house events, observe fitness classes to take pictures and videos and post personal training testimonials.

Requirements: candidates must have 2+ years knowledge in digital marketing of products or services using digital technologies, mainly on the Internet, but also including mobile phones, display advertising, and any other digital medium in order to promote gym services. The candidate must also be assertive and proactive in servicing each department’s needs on a weekly basis. Candidates that need detail instructions before acting will not do well in our fast-moving environment. We also look for creative talent that thinks outside of the box and relates well to the demographics in the greater Toms River area. Understanding of the fitness industry is a PLUS.
