Retro Fitness Matthews is seeking a Member Support Specialist that enjoys all aspects of sales, from making that first contact to enrolling someone in a membership that could change their life. This role will be primarily responsible for enrolling new members in our state of the art health and wellness facility! This is a great opportunity to further your training career by mastering the art of building and scaling a membership base.
You MUST have previous sales experience and a proven track record in sales. PLEASE, DO NOT APPLY UNLESS YOU HAVE BEEN SUCCESSFUL IN SALES, PREFERABLY THE FITNESS INDUSTRY. We do have a proven sales system to follow but are also open to creativity and other methods that have worked for you in the past. You also must be energetic, outgoing, motivating, good with people, punctual, willing to learn, and not afraid to push prospective members into doing what is best for them...joining our facility! AND of course you MUST be hungry to reach new heights in your income and in your career.
Sales Essential Functions:
Develop relationships in the community and perform outreach to help get new prospects in the door.
Schedule appointments by tapping into existing relationships and utilizing other marketing methods of member acquisition.
Assist upper management in growing the number of referrals coming from our membership base.
Enroll new members into our club by having an outstanding "closing rate" (we like to say ENROLLMENT rate)
Environment
Working environment will predominantly occur within the Retro Fitness Outlet, however franchisee or upper management may host outside marketing events in which employee may be scheduled for.

Qualifications:
3 years of previous sales experience.
Strong desire to help others reach their health and fitness goals.
Ability to work designated shifts as determined by management.
Strong customer service skills.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leveraging leads from marketing and events (corporate, in-club, community, etc…) coordinating with Corporate Relationship and Community Events manager(s).
Obtaining member referrals and follow up for enrollment
Guerrilla Marketing- conduct and/or coordinate efforts of MEAs to established plan
Business-to-Business (awareness and Retro Rewards)- establish and nurture relationships, ensure effectiveness and efficiency of efforts by developing individual plan (which businesses, route planning)
Making lead follow-ups (call, text, email) or directing MEAs as appropriate
Conducting in-club tours and closing memberships
Setting fitness consultations for all new members
Coordinating with Member Fitness Consultants and Director of Fitness to ensure new members/prospects show for FC appointments
Develop Monthly and Weekly plan for activities, coordinated with other MSSs, Community Events/Corporate Relationships Manager(s), and manager of any employee needed to execute your plan.
Coach Member Experience Associates on sales
