Job Description

The Media Host supports Comoto’s Brand, Content, & Creative department through pre-production, writing, and acting as on-camera talent.  The Media Host for Hard Parts will focus on CommonTread articles, commerce videos, and original content videos pertaining to the motorcycle hard parts carried across Comoto’s inventory.  While our ideal candidate has wrenching and riding experience in a wide range of motorcycle segments, a familiarity with dirt bikes is preferred.

OUR NEXT MEDIA HOST FOR MOTORCYCLE HARD PARTS WILL FOCUS ON: 

• Pre-Production
  • Research, source, organize, install, and test pertinent motorcycle hard parts for on-camera presentation
  • Work with Purchasing & Catalog departments to facilitate hard-part manufacturer communication and promotion.
  • Supervise in-house motorcycle fleet to ensure they are maintained to Comoto, manufacturer, and legal standards.
• Writing
  • Collaborate with Managing Editor of CommonTread to develop requested articles with a focus on motorcycle hard parts.
  • Collaborate with Video Production Manager of commerce video and original content to create organized and executable outlines/scripts with a focus on motorcycle hard parts.
• On-camera Talent
  • Deliver commerce video outlines and original-content scripts in a succinct, confident, and personable manner on camera.
  • Understand that creating video content takes exceptional effort, including:
    • Occasional long-hours
    • Creative collaboration and sharing with a large team of individuals
    • Particular requests needed to maintain a high standard video (including repetitive script reading, very specific action execution, etc.)
    • The need to maintain a positive and engaged mindset throughout the production process
  • Contribute to Comoto social media offerings as needed for the  publishing of content, brand marketing, and audience engagement.
  • Travel and appear in-person for industry events and video/campaign production.
• Miscellaneous
  • As brand ambassador for Comoto in written and on-camera mediums, it is imperative to recognize that a Media Host’s demeanor, communication, and collaboration skills are held to a very high standard

Qualifications

OUR NEXT MEDIA HOST FOR MOTORCYCLE HARD PARTS HAS:

• Expert motorcycle wrenching knowledge
• Substantial parts and motorcycle knowledge 
• Expert verbal and written communication skills
• Outstanding attention to detail, organization and ability to work semi-autonomously
• Ability to work a schedule outside of normal business hours.
• Previous on-camera & professional writing experience a plus but not required
• The ability to lift 50 pounds, riding single and two up on all types of motorcycles, proficiency in operating a motorcycle lift, and hauling motorcycles with a full-size light-duty truck and trailer
• A valid driver's license, vehicle, and motorcycle endorsement/license
