    PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Assisting with the creation of full set drawings with supporting calculations for Utility and Commercial scale solar projects.
    • Visit project sites to assess and document site dimensions, electrical systems, PV array location and utility interconnection options.
    • Drafting electrical one-line diagrams, site layouts, and equipment layouts.
    • Creating PV Wire schedules.
    • Gaining knowledge of PV system components such as modules, racking, inverters and Balance of Systems (BOS).
    • Perform additional duties as assigned and/or directed

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, TRAITS, AND SKILLS:

    • Must have at least completed your junior year in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical Emphasis or related field with a Solar or Renewable Energy Emphasis. 
    • Minimum GPA 3.2
    • Knowledge of basic electrical design theory and concepts.
    • Knowledge of power distribution and transmission systems design is a plus.
    • Proficiency in design and drafting utilizing AutoCAD preferred.
    • Proficiency in ETAP or PowerWorld preferred.
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Efficient time management – must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and independently, including prioritizing, organizing, and planning effectively to meet all deadlines

    INTERN PROGRAM OVERVIEW

    • 10-12-week program Summer 2022 
    • Interns will individually work under the direction of their managers.
    • At the completion of the program, the intern will be evaluated and considered for possible future full time employment upon graduation.
    • Hourly-based, paid internship, approximately 40 hours per week.
