    Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Assisting with the creation of full set drawings with supporting calculations for Utility and Commercial scale solar projects.
    • Visit project sites to assess and document site dimensions, electrical systems, PV array location, and utility interconnection options.
    • Drafting electrical one-line diagrams, site layouts, and equipment layouts.
    • Creating PV Wire schedules.
    • Gaining knowledge of PV system components such as modules, racking, inverters and Balance of Systems (BOS).
    • Perform additional duties as assigned and/or directed

    Required Qualifications, Traits, and Skills:

    • You must be enrolled in either an undergraduate or graduate program and have at least completed your junior year in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical Emphasis or related field with a Solar or Renewable Energy Emphasis.
    • Minimum GPA 3.2
    • Knowledge of basic electrical design theory and concepts.
    • Knowledge of power distribution and transmission systems design is a plus.
    • Proficiency in design and drafting utilizing AutoCAD preferred.
    • Proficiency in ETAP or PowerWorld preferred.
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Efficient time management – must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and independently, including prioritizing, organizing, and planning effectively to meet all deadlines

    Intern Program Overview

    • 10-12-week program Summer 2023 with possible part-time work starting in the spring semester/continuing into the fall
    • Interns will individually work under the direction of their managers.
    • At the completion of the program, the intern will be evaluated and considered for possible future full-time employment upon graduation.
    • Hourly-based, paid internship, approximately 40 hours per week.

    All offers of employment with the Company are contingent on the completion of a background check. The Company conducts these background checks in compliance with applicable federal and state laws.
