    Job Description

    Application Scientist (can be remote) Reveal Biosciences has developed a new generation of data powered pathology to enhance research and improve global healthcare.  Our proprietary AI powered platform, imageDx, delivers scientists and pathologists a novel class of actionable, quantitative data to accelerate research and enhance patient care.  Reveal was recently acquired by CellCarta, a global precision medicine company with strong expertise in clinical trials.  

     

    We are seeking an enthusiastic PhD graduate or post-doc with strong communication skills and interest in the commercial sector to build the opportunity pipeline through consultative sales techniques. This is an excellent opportunity to apply highly transferable competencies learned at the bench to challenging, interesting commercial projects on the business side.

     

    Successful candidates should be self-starters and also enjoy working in a highly collaborative environment. Previous life science sales or business experience is a plus, but not required as training will be provided for candidates with the right know-how and eagerness to learn. The ideal candidate will also have a working knowledge of histopathology, IHC, ISH and image analysis.  We offer a flexible work environment and professional growth opportunities for the right candidate.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Engage potential and existing clients in scientific discussion.
    • Represent the company in presentations.
    • Plan studies and provide technical guidance regarding the methods and use of relevant services to existing and prospective clients.
    • Offer solutions that enhance the accuracy and time to discovery for client research efforts.
    • Build and maintain professional relationships with clients.

     

    Qualifications:

    • Ph.D. or postdoctoral experience in life sciences, cell biology, human disease research, animal models or other applicable "STEM" area (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).
    • Demonstrated practical experience in histopathology, immunohistochemistry, in-situ hybridization and image analysis.
    • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
    • Strong scientific communication and engaging presentation skills.
    • Ability to translate and apply competencies learned in the lab to technical selling situations, including problem-solving, organization, data management & interpretation, hypothesis generation, mentorship / training, technical writing.
