    Position Summary

    The RCM Assistant I supports the Revenue Cycle Management team by assisting with insurance, payment processing, reporting, and administrative tasks that directly impact the financial health and operations of our dental offices. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and interested in growing within dental or healthcare revenue cycle operations.

    What You'll Do

    • Assist RCM Leads and Managers with insurance and collections-related administrative tasks

    • Sort, organize, and distribute incoming and outgoing insurance correspondence

    • Deposit and reconcile insurance and non-insurance payments

    • Reconcile Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) with patient and office records

    • Communicate with insurance companies to resolve reimbursement issues

    • Research and resolve payment discrepancies and patient ledger issues

    • Generate and maintain reports related to collections and accounts receivable

    • Track and assist with insurance overpayments and resolutions

    • Maintain insurance portal access and logins for multiple offices

    • Use Microsoft Excel and reporting tools to track work accurately and efficiently

    • Collaborate with team members to maintain healthy A/R for assigned offices

    • Communicate insurance trends, issues, and process improvements to leadership

    • Support compliance, confidentiality, and company policies at all times

    What We're Looking For

    Minimum Qualifications

    • High School Diploma (or equivalent)

    • At least 1 year of experience in healthcare or an office environment preferred

    • Previous customer service or team-based work experience required

    Preferred Skills & Experience

    • Familiarity with dental terminology, insurance terminology, and EOBs

    • Basic understanding of dental procedures and CDT codes (training provided)

    • Experience with practice management software a plus

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

    • Strong attention to detail and organization skills

    • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

    • Professional communication skills (written and verbal)

    • Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently
