Logistics Support/Material Handler 2nd Shift
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Logistics Support/Material Handler for our 2nd shift at our facility in Jeffersonville, IN, 47130. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials and products throughout our manufacturing operations. Experience with shipping/receiving general practices to include, preparing paper work for outbound shipments, scan gun operations, reviewing shipment documents such as BOL and ASN, packing lists, pick ticket process and documenting inbound/outbound shipments and expedites.
Serve as point of contact for customers on any logistics related issues and shipment confirmations.
Contact brokers to schedule outbound deliveries.
Verify and confirm certificate of analysis for all incoming material.
Load and unload freight in an efficient and safe manner, recording all necessary paperwork.
Transport product to storage areas using proper equipment and efficiently stack and store product.
Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing and other miscellaneous tasks as needed.
Check product for accuracy in inventory, damage and infestation and complete paperwork.
Conduct operations and model behavior that promotes a safe environment. This would include looking in the direction of travel, wearing a seat belt, wearing safety glasses, driving at an appropriate speed, and appropriate use of the horn as examples.
Sweep and clean area, as needed.
Perform other duties, as required.
High School Diploma.
Must have previous logistics experience.Two to three years logistics experience is preferred.
Proficient with MS Office Suite (MS Excel, Outlook, MS Word) and understanding of SAP system; IQMS is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in stock control, good knowledge of hygiene, housekeeping and safety standards.
Able to work in a fast paced environment, meet targets within scheduled time-frame and work well under pressure.
Must have planning and multi-tasking skills to effectively prioritize and handle multiple assignments.
Must be willing and able to work flexible hours.
Willing to complete and able to pass Company provided forklift training/certification to obtain forklift license.
Be a team player with a positive attitude and willing to work overtime when needed.
Must abide by all forklift and Company safety rules.
