    Job Description

    The Reverse Mortgage Closer is responsible for several key functions in the process of preparing and finalizing all loan-closing documents and ensuring accuracy to have a fully compliant mortgage. This role requires diligence, strong organizational skills, and thorough understanding of mortgage documents and processes, a high level of accuracy and attention to details. This role can be located in our Paramus, NJ or Houston, TX Office.

    Primary Job Duties:

    • Reviewing Loan Files: After loan approval, the Closer reviews the loan file to ensure all necessary documents are present and accurate. Pre-Closing review of all documents in file including title, homeowner’s insurance, appraisal, condominium documentation, tax certs, trust documents, payoffs, and disclosures.
    • Auditing Loan Files: Complete a pre-closing checklist to ensure the file is complete and compliant with all regulations.
    • Coordinating Loan Signings: Coordinate scheduled signing with partners, loan officers, settlement agents and/or title companies.
    • Prepare Closing Documents: The Closer generates the closing documents required to close each file, ensuring the closing package is complete and accurate. The Closer will explain additional closing requirements to the settlement agent and all applicable parties as needed. The Closer will also coordinate shipping and receiving of documents to loan advisors, settlement agents, and wholesale partners, as needed. Perform client, settlement agent, processor, or client relations follow-up as applicable.
    • Ensuring Timely Processing: Pipeline management to ensure all closing packages are completed in a timely manner, meeting all scheduled signing expectations.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of three years as a Reverse Closing experience.
    • Reverse mortgage industry experienced is preferred.
    • Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.
    • Organizing and coordinating skills
    • Ability to develop and maintain files and records.
    • Proficient in all aspects of various software applications: specifically, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Word
    • A strong understanding of customer service standards and procedures
    • Must maintain a high level of service skills and reliability
