    Job Description

We are looking to add a full-time career employee to join our data reconciling/accounting department in San Luis Obispo.  We are an advertising and media buying agency that books roughly 15,000 commercials a week across several hundred stations nationally.  We have employees who work at multiple locations throughout the United States. Each team member plays a major role in the success and growth of our business.

Attitude and work ethic are incredibly important to us.  This new hire will be joining a team of high performers, each with a specialized role within the company.  This is not a job for someone looking to slack off or skim by.  We have a high volume of work and each member is an important contributor!  To apply, please copy/paste "applying for data/accounting department position" in the subject line of your email, so we know you read the details.  There is no dress code, no yelling, and no drama.  Our ideal candidate would align with the positive environment we create each day and work well with others to achieve company goals.  We train our employees extensively and are always available to answer questions. A willingness and ability to learn and work hard is mainly what we are looking for.

The first 3-weeks of the position is a part-time training period and hours will be:

Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 8AM – 5PM, with an hour for lunch.  Social distancing will not be possible during this training period and wearing a face covering during these shifts will be required, as mandated by the State of CA.

After those 3 weeks, the position is full-time at 40 hours/week, Monday – Friday, year-round.  Desks are 6+ feet apart and wearing a face covering is optional.  We offer competitive wages, benefits, and discretionary bonuses.  November through January are our busiest months, so extra availability during those months may be needed.

    Job Duties:

    • Extensive use of our media software, which involves comprehensive understanding of how various screens are interrelated and affected by changes or inputs of data.  This involves having the ability to compartmentalize the system in your mind, so that you can understand how one thing effects another, without being able to see all effected screens simultaneously.

    • Reconciling invoices received from television stations to ensure what we have booked in our system matches what truly aired, which includes being able to recognize and resolve discrepancies.

    • Weekly, monthly, and annual reporting duties.

    • Assisting with any other tasks assigned to help the team, e.g. sending out media changes, orders, or credit memos.  No task is menial!  If we need someone to stuff and stamp 500 envelopes, then that is the task at hand.  We all work together to efficiently get the work done!

    Required Minimum Qualifications:

-Extraordinary attention to detail and the ability to focus on simple, but repetitive tasks.

-Intermediate level of computer skills, including Microsoft Office (particularly with Excel) and Google (Gmail, Sheets, Drive and Calendar).

-Excellent and professional written communication skills.

-Motivation to get their work done efficiently without direction.

-Well-organized with an objective towards quality and consistency.

-High problem-solving abilities, including pattern recognition.

To apply, please email your resume with a brief description of yourself and why you think this position would be a good fit for you. We look forward to hearing from you!
