Compensation • Pay starts at $18/hour for new recruits and increases as you advance to the apprentice level and then to the rank of glazier and beyond • Forty hours of regular work each week is guaranteed. Overtime is readily available and needed • Safety bonuses, performance bonuses, tool buys, zero-cost health insurance, zero-interest hardship loans, incentivized savings plans, 401k matching, and annual raises are some of the key benefits available Responsibilities: • Apprentice glaziers assist more experienced glaziers with field installations or shop fabrications • Glaziers measure, fabricate, and install glass shower enclosures, mirrors, railing systems, aluminum storefronts, and other glass products • Glaziers are required to interface with customers, troubleshoot, and problem-solve • Glazier uses carpentry skills to create beautiful finished products Qualifications: • Candidates must possess a minimum level of mechanic aptitude that includes the ability to read a tape measure, use hand tools, and understand written and verbal instructions • The job requires adding and subtracting fractions to determine glass sizes and opening sizes • Candidates must be able to carry up to 80lbs • Applicants must have a valid driver's license and must be able to drive a vehicle • Applicants must be able to pass a drug test • Applicants must be willing to work hard and work overtime (a few hours a week when necessary) Compensation: $18 - $35 hourly
