Responsibilities: • Provide the cost estimate of the construction up front and accurately control the budget throughout the project • Clarify the scope with clients, engineers, construction managers, and architects to produce an accurate list of project specifications, including manual labor needs and necessary materials • Inform key stakeholders of the status of the project by producing regular progress reports • Plan and schedule the entire construction project, including construction operations and timelines to make sure project deadlines are met • Negotiate profitable agreements with external vendors, contractors, and critical subcontractors • Determine the project deliverables and specifications, including the project scope, necessary resources, anticipated labor requirements, and timelines • Inform key stakeholders of any delays or issues with the status of a job • Interface with glaziers in order to provide details about the work they are scheduled to perform • Interface with glaziers at the end of the day to receive knowledge about the work that was performed • Ensure that jobs correctly progress through their workflows in order to achieve lead time targets • Develop processes in order to improve job processing techniques • Analyze, track, and verify the amount and cost of labor sold and utilized on jobs • Understand every detail about how a job is to be completed. Understand every part required for a job • Preserve the knowledge of discovered issues by documenting them in a central knowledge repository • Verify, approve, and record purchasing invoices in order to perform job cost analysis • Provide scheduling specifications (work duration, number of glaziers, glazier skillsets, site requirements, etc.) to the Schedulers so that they may coordinate work steps with customers Qualifications: • Knowledge of the construction industry and the entire building process, including building permits, blueprints, building codes, construction equipment, material resources, construction methods, and project management principles • Familiarity with construction project management software is highly valued • Superb leadership capability, organizational skills, time-management abilities, and communication skills • Four-year college degree in engineering, construction management, or other similar fields • PMP certification is a plus • Strong communication skills, leadership skills, organizational skills, problem-solving skills, and time-management skills • High level of comfort with logical reasoning and calculations involving fractions • Demonstrated exceptional attention to detail • Demonstrated ability to be resourceful when solving problems • Desire to be successful within a team-oriented environment • Must have a desire to continually strive for improvement • Must be able to juggle many simultaneous Compensation: $60,000 - $85,000 yearly
