    Job Description

    • Develop, engineer and quote multi-technology motion systems, with a primary focus on Controls, Control Power, PLC/HMI and motion as part of the solution. In a team ensure solutions developed solve a customer need and have a need in the market.
      • Design, qualify and document electric control requirements in concert with non-electric technology portfolio of Bosch Rexroth
        • Solutions may incorporate hydraulic, linear, assembly and electric drive content.
        • Responsible for electrical / control architecture, specification, BOM creation, ECN documentation
      • R&D Controls System Engineer will coordinate final job package documentation with Application Engineering counterpart(s), to prepare any final, “as-built” job package(s).
        • BOM, schematics, vendor selection(s), content, wiring specifications and diagrams, test procedure(s), cabinet selection, HMI / communication interface(s), IoT sensors…etc.
    • Participate in, possibly lead the customer conversation, keep interest up, resolve conflict, and drive customer satisfaction.
    • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, service, logistics etc. within Bosch Rexroth and Robert Bosch worldwide to create and market customer specific products and solutions
    • Initiate and develop contact with customers for technology development and establish long-term relationships
    • Participate with, or lead International development teams
    • Establish cooperation with Robert Bosch Engineering Mexico in various technology projects
    • Assist in collection and analysis of information concerning market trends, business conditions, innovative solution opportunities, and competition
    • Pro-actively address and resolve difficult technical customer issues and complaints after hours availability during commissioning phase of new developed machines
    • Prepare and present sales presentations to prospective and present customers
    • Initiate and support cross-divisional cooperation
    • Perform other essential and related duties as may be required
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, , or Electrical Engineering Technology (EET) from an accredited institution (ex. CHEA, ABET)
    • Minimum 4 years engineering knowledge in regards to electric drives and controls in industry applications, and/or other relevant work experience
    • Minimum 4 years engineering knowledge in Power Electronics (eg: high voltage, up to 700 volts), inclusive of electrical control power panel design elements; PLC / HMI controls (not ladder logic), experience with OCE [Open Core Engineering] – C+(+) and/or similar control architectures
    • Applicants with a minimum of 4 years of relevant technical sales experience will be given preference
    • Ability to read, and understand electric schematics including controls and control power design, read engineering drawings and understand technical specifications
    • Ability to work with End Users, OEM's and Third Party’s personnel to develop sales growth
    • Experience in assisting internal and external customers with questions, concerns, complaints, etc.
    • Ability to establish new business contacts and develop customer base
    • Applicants with experience working within high performing, international teams will be given preference
    • Excellent negotiating, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
    • Proficiency in all MS Office applications, CAD,
    • Travel Required – 30% annually domestic and international
