  • Responsibilities

    The primary function of this position is to recruit hire candidates for a variety of positions in a manufacturing environment. This requires the regular use of a phone, computer, and a variety of office equipment. While the schedule is generally Monday through Friday with hours sometime between 7:30 am – 4:30 pm, candidates must be able to work evenings and weekends, as required. Qualified candidates must also be able to travel occasionally if necessary.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Utilize job boards, social media, networking, and internal recruiting tools to source and fill open positions with highly qualified talent.

    • Perform targeted candidate searches; increase applicant flow via internet job boards, employee referrals, local advertising, and social networks.

    • Efficiently conducting high volume of outbound calls to engage external applicants in our interview process for full-time job openings.

    • Completing administrative tasks associated with the interview and hiring processes for prospective employees and interns.

    • Conducting initial interviews to explain position, answer questions, determine candidates’ possession of minimum qualifications and assess candidates’ competencies relevant to the position.

    • Clearly and enthusiastically presenting the job responsibilities, company information and compensation and benefits details to applicants across different departments.

    • Scheduling qualified candidates for interviews with hiring managers and following up to acquire the outcome and evaluation.

    • Acts with high integrity, including handling confidential and sensitive information.

    • Maintain regular, courteous contact with candidates to minimize candidate loss and increase candidate interest.

    • General office work (filing, faxing, email maintenance, office organization).

    • Search and identify talent through multiple channels.

    • Must be able to travel in local area, when necessary.

    • Implement programs and strategies to fill current role openings.

    • Initiate background checks/drug tests. Manage the on-boarding process.

    • Review and screen resumes. Conduct phone screens and skills assessments.

    • Report daily on the recruiting activities, challenges, and strategies.

    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

    • Preferred 2 years of recruiting for hourly positions.

    • Must have contacts with other agencies to recruit.

    • Must have well-developed applicant screening and behavioral interviewing skills

    • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.

    • Associate degree or equivalent education required; bachelor’s degree preferred

    • Must demonstrate high attention to detail, an engaging, enthusiastic, and professional communication style and strong, efficient administrative skills

    • Computer and internet savvy; Basic computer proficiency including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Skype, and TEAM’s

    • Demonstrated organization skills. Must be comfortable multi-tasking and prioritizing within a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

    Knowledge of state and federal laws regarding employment and hiring practices
