PART TIME STAFF ACCOUNTANT – JOB DESCRIPTION
Rhodes Osiek Patyk & Company has been providing accounting, tax, audit, and business consulting services since 1979. We have over 40 years of experience helping clients with their business and personal needs.
We are seeking a part time staff accountant available to work 20-25 hours a week. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 4 years of experience with a public accounting firm. This position will be responsible for working with client financial records and ledgers, preparing tax returns (personal, corporate and partnerships), performing month/quarter end procedures, and working on ad-hoc client requests. This role will work with other Staff, Managers, Partners, and clients. This position will have some flexibility in schedule and can accommodate other commitments one may have.
Summary of primary responsibilities and experience:
- Experience in tax, individual, corporate, and partnership tax preparation
- A strong understanding of accounting concepts and financial statement presentation
- Help clients with monthly accounting activities, including reviewing ledgers for accuracy, making corrections where necessary, reconciling and verifying account activity, and month end adjustments
- An understanding of federal taxation concepts
- Assist with ad-hoc client and firm requests as necessary
Required skills and experience:
- 2 to 4 years of experience with a public accounting firm
- Strong analytics and organization skills, and attention to detail
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related business field
