Job Description

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Responsible for coordination and implementation of recreational and community integration activities and events in multiple settings to meet a broad range of needs for the individuals. Supervises interns and volunteers and staff as assigned.  Serves as the supervisor on duty within the Residential department as assigned.  Implements and/or assures the use of technology within the Residential settings, including by not limited to tablets, TVs/smart TVs, computers, laptops, cable boxes, message boards, digital frames and other media devices and programs.  Responsible for the daily operation of assigned area to ensure provision of quality services to individuals with continual pursuit of Board/Department mission statement. 

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:  H.S. diploma or equivalent required.  Prefer Associates Degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field.  One year direct experience with adults with developmental disabilities. Knowledge of program development. (A combination of education and experience may be considered.) Experience working with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook and other technology is required. Must possess and maintain a valid Ohio Driver's License and be insurable.

CERTIFICATION: Completion of First Aid and CPR within 30 days of hire. Must maintain First Aid and CPR certification on an ongoing basis.  Must obtain and maintain Delegated Nursing Certification.
