We provide an array of accounting, business operations, and fractional-CFO services designed to help our entrepreneurial clients in a few select verticals unleash their potential: Ø Life Science & Healthcare Ø AI, Software & Tech Ø Aerospace & Defense Ø Creative & Service We have offices located in beautiful Downtown Boulder, CO on Pearl Street as well as in sunny San Diego, CA in La Jolla. We also have a presence in the Silicon Valley and Denver. Our clients are located throughout the US and Internationally. We do a lot of the things you'd expect a CPA firm to do, but we are so much more - we are a Financial Studio. We are looking for: A Business Advisor/Accountant - An experienced accountant and business advisor that is both numbers and people-oriented. An advisor that is also a great communicator, collaborator, and project manager - that has the ability to grow and learn Sr. Business Advisor skills over time. What a typical day might be like: Each day is filled with a variety of rewarding tasks, that you will surely appreciate if you are the type of person that enjoys helping entrepreneurial owners grow their businesses and achieve their business goals. Business Advisors have a solid accounting foundation and have worked in relevant roles for 2+ years. They can work autonomously on standard client accounting engagements, as well as collaborate smoothly with others on our team to ensure that client outcomes are achieved. As a Business Advisor, in addition to core accounting and business operations work, you have enough experience and vision to spot client growth, cost-saving, or streamlining opportunities. You will also help them navigate growth ceilings, address challenges, and identify cost savings. You will have the chance to establish and foster meaningful client relationships as you help them understand the story behind the numbers and collaborate with them to plan their journey ahead. Your typical day may include the following tasks: Ø Close client books - monthly, quarterly, and annually Ø Reconciling non-cash accounts Ø Financial statement preparation and variance analysis Ø Project management of new client onboarding Ø Ongoing client and team collaboration Ø Proactive communication - especially with new clients Ø Updates of SaaS app transactions, sync's, and exceptions Ø Supporting equity events and grant activities Ø Addressing project and job costing needs Ø Budgeting and forecasting Ø Strategic planning Ø Ensuring issues are promptly addressed and key matters kept up to date Some other cool stuff to know: Ø We are a collaborative and distributed team that readily coordinates through video conferencing. Ø We are constantly learning and sharing insights and experiences with others on our team - whether we have been with the company for 15+ years or are just starting day one. Ø We employ a wide variety of integrated SaaS based technologies (Including QBO) while emphasizing both efficient processes. Ø We are always considering our Client's Experience (CX) and Outcomes! This job might be for you if: Ø You are great with technology and can easily navigate and integrate SaaS apps Ø You are an excellent communicator and understand that includes being a good listener Ø You enjoy working in Excel spreadsheets Ø You stay organized and help others do the same Ø You take good notes when needed and ask questions when something is not clear Ø You are good at keeping a schedule and have good methods to help you manage priorities and deadlines Ø You are detail oriented and proofread things that you write or type to make sure they are accurate Ø You like numbers and you think working with accountants and clients would be fun You might be a really good fit if: Ø You are readily able to manage client engagements and relationships to help ensure successful outcomes Ø You get things done and you take pride in doing them right Ø You have relevant accounting training and experience Ø You are great at task management and project management Ø You are extremely proficient with QuickBooks Online and/or other SaaS accounting technology The Pay and the Perks: We offer competitive salaries, a flexible work environment, and great colleagues!
