    The Career Opportunity:

    We are seeking experienced retail Allocation Analyst to join Ricki’s Home Office located in Winnipeg.

    Allocation analysts support in creating, managing, executing and analyzing inventory plans at the product/category/item level to maximize business opportunities. The allocation analyst will manage replenishment allocations, conduct analysis and generate recommendations to drive future purchases and merchandising strategies.

    The Competencies: GREAT ALLOCATION / INFLUENCE:

    • Maintains and develops business strategies and initiatives that drive profitable results.

    • Oversee and assess inventory (i.e. blend, depth) and make recommendations to ensure right product in right stores at right times.

    • Develop plans by analyzing historical data and current trends while identifying risks and opportunities. Reconcile plans from a top down and bottom up perspective to maximize financial objectives.

    • Analyze and interpret reporting to validate plan achievement & assortment execution; and to accurately forecast future product needs.

    • Assist the Merchandise Planner throughout the planning process.

    • Responsible for determining appropriate allocation method and allocating merchandise to individual stores to achieve balanced stock and optimal sales performance.

    • Run replenishment as business rules dictate – analyze numbers and determine replenishment methodology to be used by category and item (e.g. WOS vs. just replenishment to minimums).

    • Balance store inventories, initiate transfers/consolidations to maximize regular price sell-through.

    • Communicate with stores to help them maximize their business. Review, analyze and respond to product requests from stores.

    • Share discoveries thru reports and discussions with stakeholders.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Diploma in Fashion Merchandising or Business Administration or 2 years’ experience in retail management.

    Demonstrate an analytic ability, along with problem solving and decision making.

    Display organization, time management and reporting skills.

    Skilled at data entry and familiar with Microsoft Excel, and have aptitude to learn technical applications quickly.

    Able to build constructive and effective relationships with a broad and diverse group of business partners

    Demonstrate strong listening, written and oral communication skills

    Proficiency in retail math.
