As ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) reporting continues to gain prominence globally and closer and more integrated in financial reporting, we recognize the importance of transparent and accurate disclosures to meet upcoming regulatory requirements (e.g., SEC) and stakeholder expectations. Sufficient and reliable data, processes, and systems need to be enabled in order to meet these compliance / reporting obligations, and various stakeholder needs (including customers and vendors). Local candidates encouraged to apply. Position is based on-site at our North Ridgeville, OH facility May-August.

    We are seeking an intern with an understanding of corporate sustainability and social responsibilities to assist in the collection of data and support the ESG Reporting Leader and to help lead our efforts in meeting evolving ESG reporting obligations.

    ESG Data Management:

    • Assist in the development of a process for the collection, analysis, and management of data related to ESG metrics, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and reliability.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, capture, and enhance relevant ESG data points across the organization.
    • Assist in the collection, analysis, and management of data for voluntary reporting frameworks and assessment tools like the Global Reporting Initiative Standards (GRI).
    • Assist in the development of the collection and management of reliable data and supporting work processes, policies, etc.

    Compliance and Reporting:

    • Assist in the development and implementation of processes to ensure compliance with current and upcoming ESG disclosure standards.
    • Assist the ESG Leader in the preparation and submittal of timely and accurate ESG data and metrics, aligning with regulatory frameworks and guidelines.
    • Support cross-functional (finance, legal, EH&S, etc) coordination and engagement to draft, review, and ultimately report required ESG data.

    Qualifications:

    • Working towards a bachelor’s degree in Sustainability / ESG studies, Finance, Data Management & Analytics or other relevant fields.
    • Coursework relevant to this role.
    • Understanding of ESG reporting, sustainability, or related fields, with a solid understanding of global ESG standards and frameworks
    • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret and communicate complex data effectively.
    • Experience with data, analytics and related industry leading tools preferred.
