Ride Control Engineer

From concept through commissioning, you’ll engineer the control systems that power next-generation attractions for major entertainment destinations.
What You’ll Do
- Design, program, and commission electrical and control systems for ride platforms and motion equipment
- Engineer PLC-based architectures, network frameworks, and electrical infrastructures
- Create electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and facility interface requirements
- Develop operator controls and electrical panels
- Prepare implementation strategies, budget estimates, and technical documentation
- Contribute to safety reviews, hazard analyses, and failure mode assessments
- Define testing criteria and oversee installation and commissioning
What You Bring
- 3+ years designing, programming, and commissioning control systems for electromechanical equipment
- Strong knowledge of safety control design and standards such as ISO 13849
- Expertise with PLCs, industrial networking (ProfiNET, Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT), and closed-loop motion control
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Studio 5000, TwinCAT, or TIA Portal
- Ability to juggle multiple complex projects and work collaboratively with diverse teams
- BS degree required; Electrical Engineering highly preferred
Preferred
- TUV certification
- Experience with Rockwell, Siemens, or Beckhoff architectures
- Ride and Show system experience
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills
