THE EXPERIENCE
As a Learning Content Developer, you will produce educational materials to orient new Riffyn Nexus customers, guide familiar customers, motivate reluctant customers, and aid experienced customers while in the flow of work. This includes helping customers:
- Learn about Riffyn Nexus via clear, concise concept explanations and software demonstrations that are relevant to their performance goals.
- Develop software simulations, job aids, and functional documentation.
- Develop scopes and storyboards for training projects.
- Work with Riffyn scientists/senior scientists to deliver accurate and timely learning solutions.
In this role, you will tap your skills and experiences in technical writing, instructional design, elearning, learning experience design, storytelling, assessment & evaluation, and problem solving to help our potential and existing customers realize the greatest value possible from a Riffyn Nexus-based solution.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze complex technical content to design and develop performance-oriented software training, and performance support assets including but not limited to job aids and competency rubrics.
- Apply instructional methodologies and processes to create a cohesive blended learning experience for adult learners.
- Develop content independently with minimal guidance on content development and learner experience best practices.
- Perform quality assurance testing and user acceptance testing on learning content.
- Publish SCORM and multimodal learning content to LMS (LearnUpon experience a plus), including video, surveys, and knowledge checks.
- Effectively prioritize and manage work assignments to completion.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in a learning-related discipline such as Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or Learning Science & Technology. Will also consider bachelor’s degree in English with emphasis on technical writing, or unexpired certificates in Technical Writing, Instructional Design, or Elearning Design combined with years of experience.
- 3-5 years’ experience writing functional user documentation for systems procedures and highly technical concepts
- 3-5 years’ experience designing and developing elearning for LMS delivery
- Exceptional skill with designing self-paced blended learning solutions, especially software training and job aids
- Ability to collaborate with and communicate ideas clearly to team members outside of learning & development
- Experience modifying HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience documenting or creating learning content that references JSON for APIs, Python, R, or JMP scripting language
- Proven capacity to quickly learn new platforms and programming syntax for educational content development
- Ability to thrive and remain creative and learner-oriented in a fast-paced, project-driven start-up environment
- Experience with Asana and Jira for task and content management (or a similar tool)
- Strong consultation skills
- Ability to work in and coordinate work sessions with virtual teams
- Exceptional verbal and written communication
