Right Stuf, Inc. is an independent video publisher that specializes in packaging and distributing pre-recorded programming to English-language audiences – from Japanese animation (anime) to foreign live-action content.

In addition to selling its own publishing division’s products, Right Stuf, Inc. also resells and distributes anime-related and Asian live-action merchandise – including DVDs, Blu-ray discs, books, apparel, artwork, audio CDs and more – on behalf of other North American suppliers.

It also provides business services for firms throughout the North American anime industry, from phone banks and data entry to demographic research, the creation of online storefronts, and more.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Working in a collaborative, creative and fast pace environment, the successful candidate will assist the Merchandising team in coordinating product solicitations, managing purchase orders and researching marketing strategies. The role of this individual will be to support the Merchandising team in all aspects of product procurement. This includes setting prices, analysing buying patterns, contacting industry representatives, and adding products to the site. The ideal candidate will have strong written and oral communication skills, is detail oriented and is familiar with the products we sale.

Starting Wage: $12.00/hr

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Research, acquire, and update information on new products
• Write, proofread, and/or edit various product copy from vendors
• Proofread multiple yearly print catalogs
• Interact with vendors & publishers on a daily basis
• Coordinate resolutions for defective product issues
• Routinely search vendor websites for discontinued items
• Follow up on purchase orders & monitor product delivery
• Coordinate Weekly Specials & Mega Deals
• Produce project based progress reports
• Coordinate, organize and prioritize merchandising tasks.
• Handle multiple priorities, duties and responsibilities
• Manage the loading of images, descriptions, keywords, and SEO for products
• Work with analytics to measure effective buying strategies
• Monitor and/or respond to forums and social media sites
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL HAVE

• HS diploma or Equivalent
• Knowledge of anime/comic book/gaming industry
• Excellent writing and proofreading abilities
• Math skills sufficient to calculate pricing and profit margins
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Familiar with Microsoft Office
• Excellent analytical skills
• Familiar with social media platforms
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize work and work accurately under pressure of deadlines
