Learn and Earn New River CTC Caregiver Internship
Our mission here at Right at Home is to improve the quality of life for those we serve. Our caregivers provide the ability for clients to remain in their own homes safely, comfortably, and as independently as possible as we assist them in their daily lives. As a student going to New River CTC and being a caregiver with Right at Home, you will gain hands-on experience in your chosen field of study at a rate of $17/hr. while helping us fulfill our mission through the Learn and Earn program. Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred
Valid driver's license and current automobile insurance preferred
Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check
Must be a New River CTC student enrolled in an Allied Health field program
Must remain an active employee with Right at Home and accept scheduled shifts
Responsibilities:
Light housekeeping (sweeping, mopping, washing dishes, doing laundry, etc.)
Helping with personal hygiene care (bathing, dressing, grooming, etc.)
Meal preparation/medicine reminders
Occasional transportation (appointments or errands)
Assisting with ambulation (walking, transfers, exercises)
Provide companionship
