    A Personal Care Assistant provides various personal care and homemaker services according to your skill level in accordance with a customized plan of care for each client.

    At Right at Home we make sure you have the knowledge and training to be successful. We have a RAH representative meet you at the client’s home to go over instruction and review of the care plan. In addition to an initial orientation other training topics may include:

    Personal Safety

    Understanding Abuse and Neglect

    Use of Assistive Devices

    Dressing and Grooming

    Reporting and Documenting in Clear Care

    Bathing

    Essential Functions

    Performs personal care activities that assist the patient with activities of daily living which include (but not limited to):

    Person hygiene (assisting to bathroom or in using bedpan, bathing, care of mouth, skin and hair)

    Assist with ambulation and transfers

    Eating

    Dressing/Grooming

    Preparation of meals and snacks according to instructions

    Performs homemaking activities which include (but are not limited to) : vacuuming, dusting, sweeping/mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry and cleaning bathrooms.

    Qualifications

    High school graduate or G.E.D certificate preferred

    Six months experience preferred as a Personal Care Assistant in healthcare (in homes or facilities.)

    Successful completion of a state -approved Nurse Aide or Personal Care Assistant courses preferred.

    Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job.

    Possess a valid driver’s license and have use of an insured automobile.

    Possess the ability to consistently provide superior customer service to our clients exhibit exceptional work ethic.
