    The Role of the Automotive Reconditioning Technician is to perform maintenance, diagnose and repair any failure or problem on vehicles in an efficient and accurate manner in accordance with dealership standards.

    Duties:

    Punctuality, dependability, cooperation and the ability to take direction.

    Examine all makes and models of vehicles to determine if additional work is needed based on safety and preventive maintenance.

    Close communication with Service Manager.

    Meet production standards as set by management

    Drive all vehicles in a safe manner. Keep vehicles clean, no smoking, or eating.

    Operate all tools and machinery in a safe manner.

    Understand and keep abreast of federal, state and local regulations.

    Keep work area clean and neat.

    Other duties assigned by management.

    Skills and Physical Requirements:

    Automotive reconditioning technicians are responsible for the inspection, maintenance and repair of used vehicles acquired by the dealership for resale.

    ASE certification preferred but not required. Valid Driver's license, with a driving record acceptable by our insurance company.

    Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

    Ability to use in-house computer systems

    Must be able to use both hands, bend, stoop, and twist on a regular basis.

    Must provide own tools.

    Schedule: Five 8 hour days in addition to Saturdays as assigned.
