SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER, ROBOTICS

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR: Collaborating with Engineering for the identification, definition, and review of software requirements for existing or new Factory Automation Robotics products Designing and developing the software and supporting documentation to meet customer requirements, providing advanced technical support for Factory Automation Robotics products, and maintaining and troubleshooting Factory Automation Robotics local area network and server Also responsible for driving activities of the software development team

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

SOFTWARE DESIGN Participates in gathering user/customer requirements for software from internal sources Collaborates with parent company in the definition and review of software requirements Participates with parent company in development of project plans (e.g., time estimates, specifications) Assists in developing software programs for new products within project timelines Develops supporting technical documentation for products Assists parent company designers in solving complex technical problems

TECHNICAL SUPPORT Interfaces with technical support teams to resolve advanced customer technical issues; escalates issues that cannot be resolved to management Serves as a technical subject matter expert for Factory Automation Robotics products Responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting Factory Automation Robotics local area network Relationship Management Builds strong relationships with peers, other departments, and managers to best meet company goals and objectives

ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE: 8-12 years of experience in customer facing software Experience developing products with: C#, C++, Microsoft windows and Linux Robotics experience is a plus Experience with graphical user interfaces Completion of an undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
