    Job Description: Proposal Writer leads internal efforts to develop and write capture plans and proposals for key opportunities. Responsible for the preparation of all assigned proposals.

    Duties and responsibilities

    Attend proposal kickoff meetings to determine project scope.

    Assist in creating project schedules and deadlines.

    Conduct research as needed.

    Analyze the organization’s strategic plans to align a win strategy and prepare a plan for the proposal development phase.

    Ensure the proposal meets the requirements of the customer and clearly defines the scope of work to the client.

    Ensures the proposal is prepared in a timely manner to comply with internal review requirements and customer requirements.

    Responsible for preparation and review of the proposal write-ups.

    Review and edit all documents and text from SMEs for accuracy and clarity to ensure quality proposals that are compliant and error free.

    Know specifically how to present a proposal in a way that leads to an optimal score or evaluation from official representatives.

    Collaborate with graphic designers during layout.

    Responsible for formatting each proposal according to Rigil guidelines and obtaining approval as necessary.

    Quality control to incorporate feedback and revisions to ensure that all outgoing proposals are compliant, responsive, compelling, top-quality, and competitive.

    Obtain feedback from projects for “lessons learned” to incorporate in future proposals.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    3-5 years of demonstrated experience

    Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Communications or a related field is required

    APMP certification

    Federal government proposal writing experience is a plus

    Demonstrated leadership, creativity, listening, and decision-making skills

    Self-motivated, detail-oriented and be able to communicate effectively

    Exceptional written and oral communication skills

    Excellent organizational skills

    Works well under tight deadlines

    Excellent professional interpersonal and presentation skills

    Excellent research, analytical, and time management skills

    Ability to adhere to brand and style guidelines
