Job Description:
Individual shall assist the government in developing business, acquisition, and improvement strategies in alignment with FAA acquisition priorities. Individual will provide support in the development and maintenance of strategic plans, which will allow agencies to establish linkage among planning elements such as mission, vision, goals, objectives, strategies, and performance management initiatives in addition to providing support in aligning organizational investments in people, technology and capital to the overall strategies. Duties include:
Assist in the development and articulation of the agencies strategic vision with corresponding mission, business, and performance measures
Provide consulting and business planning services to support the development, analysis, integration, and implementation of acquisition program planning and assessment; and risk, trade-off, requirements, alternatives, and feasibility studies that advance the goals and objectives of the FAA
Provide expertise support for modernization strategy planning and participate in meetings with key stakeholders to establish the high-level goals and objectives and guiding principles of the stems modernization effort.
Collaboratively work with the Acquisition Systems Planning and Modernization Manager to develop an approach to capture all systems and processes in the Acquisition Systems Portfolio
Assist in identifying Acquisitions drivers and objectives, key internal divisions and branches, stakeholders, decision makers, and roles. In addition, must identify any known regulatory compliance requirements and any key performance indicators (“KPI”) to measure progress and impact to the plan.
Develop Acquisition Systems Modernization Plan.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred
Minimum of 15 years of acquisition experience.
Current or previous FAA experience is preferred
Knowledge of entire acquisition life cycle including strategizing, developing, executing and managing all aspects.
Ability to manage large amounts of complex information easily, communicates clearly, and draws sound conclusions.
Ability to prioritize and manage actions to meet changing deadlines and requirements within a high volume, high stress environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with others
