    PurposeThe Rigil Business Development (BD) Associate is responsible for growing our Federal business as well as supporting other vertices as needed. The BD Associate will support the Division’s efforts to identify new opportunities, qualify opportunities, grow current pipeline, execute the growth strategy, conduct capture and close opportunities successfully. This position reports directly to the Rigil SVP of Corporate Sales. A successful candidate must take a strong supporting role when it comes to building new business relationships and chasing new opportunities.

    Duties and responsibilities

    Create new relationships with Federal and other government agencies.

    Grow the Rigil presence in the Federal market-space.

    Build upon and strengthen existing relationships with customers.

    Identify new opportunities prior to being released for bid.

    Conduct second level Opportunity Review and provide educated opinion to Sr. Management.

    Assist with online Opportunity Research and in Field Research for contracting opportunities.

    Assist in capture on major opportunities.

    Assist in trade shows, marketing events, etc.

    Assist in Incumbent Capture.

    Coordinate with Sr. Management to review growth and expansion opportunities of new and existing business.

    Focus on creating opportunities through partners and develop and/or maintain trusted relationships with industry counterparts.

    Present compelling, outcome-based engagement approaches.

    Minimum qualifications and skills

    Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing or related discipline.

    1 year of experience developing and growing business in the Federal Government space with a good understanding of Government Contracting, Procurement Process and writing winning proposals and specifications.

    Good knowledge of IT is required.

    Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
