    Job description:

    Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization.

    Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes.

    Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing the impact of issues.

    Work as part of a product or product-line engineering team to provide technical support to single/multiple engineering teams using a variety of hardware and software products.

    Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent

    Ensure SLA's are met, maintain the infrastructure for development, conduct test demonstrations including administration of environments and other systems software running on various platforms.

    A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans

    Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols

    Establish and implement standards for computer operations for compatibility between hardware and software, according to specifications and parameters.

    Troubleshoots and/or resolves software, operating system, and networking problems.

    Schedules perform, or monitors system backups or, when necessary, perform data recoveries.

    Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN), and patch management.

    Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery.

    Managing UNIX and LINUX Operating systems, file systems, storage environments, and networking protocols

    Familiar with basic UNIX principles and commands, file manipulations, and file editor

    Analyze current technology utilized within the company and develop steps and processes to improve and expand upon them

    Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions including materials, manpower, and time necessary

    Work alongside project management teams to successfully monitor progress and implementation of initiatives

    Implementing various development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure

    Identifying and deploying cybersecurity measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk management

    Monitor, analyze, and report performance statistics for cloud-hosted environments.

    Education/Qualifications:

    Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required

    3-5 years of network administration, or system administration both Windows and Linux experience
